We are proud to introduce Brian Fleharty, who joined Leaf in June 2024 as Technical Service Representative for North America! In his role, Brian handles technical training and fermentation troubleshooting. Daily, he is in charge of collecting, organizing, and analyzing fermentation data to optimize our partners’ operations.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Chemistry and a Data Science specialization from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Brian built his experience working as a Service Engineer in the USA.

- What is your school background?
Fleharty: “I have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, with a minor in Biology for the University of Central Missouri, as well as a Data Science Specialization from Johns Hopkins University, 34 certifications in scientific instrument repair and maintenance, and 11 peer-reviewed publications.”
- What do you like most about your position?
Fleharty: “I enjoy the customer-facing aspects of my job as well as the troubleshooting, characterization, and optimization of processes”
- What motivates you in your work?
Fleharty: “General curiosity, relationship building, and my family motivate me in my work!”
