We are proud to introduce Soham Sanyal, who joined Leaf in July 2025 as Technical Sales Representative in India! In his role, Soham provides advanced technical services. He represents Leaf at various industry platforms such as seminars and conferences. As part of his daily responsibilities, Soham works closely with distributor teams to organize trials and workshops. Additionally, he collaborates on training sessions and aids in the development of new products and services.
Soham holds a Bachelor of Technology in Bio-Technology from Haldia Institute of Technology. Furthermore, he brings several years of experience in technology deployment, technical sales, and marketing.

- If you were a microorganism, what would you be? Why?
Sanyal: “I’d be a bacteriophage virus. I would turn living bacteria into literal microscopic zombie.”
- What is your contribution to the planet’s protection?
Sanyal: “I’ve been associated with the bioethanol industry from the start of my career. For this reason, it is very close to my heart, and I feel deeply connected to the industry and like-minded people.”
- What have you discovered since you joined the team?
Sanyal: “I’ve discovered that I’ve joined Leaf at a very exciting time. We are bringing new yeast strains (both Non-GMO and GMO) to the Indian market, and we are deploying advanced tools like the FCoE!”
