2026 Technical Exchange Conference of the Alcohol Branch of the Provincial Alcoholic Beverages Industry Association

At present, the alcohol industry in our province faces multiple challenges, including the increasing scarcity of cassava raw materials, intensifying competition from coal-to-ethanol production, and sluggish downstream demand. Coupled with stagnation in the development of fermentation alcohol technology and persistently low industry profits, the fierce competition from maize-based alcohol is particularly pronounced. Given such a severe industry outlook, what is the future of cassava-based ethanol? How can fermented ethanol manufacturers adapt to the new market landscape and utilize intelligent, automated and digital technologies to enhance their competitiveness? These are pressing issues that ethanol manufacturers must urgently address.
