Meet Cecile Barbachou, Leaf’s Regulatory Affairs Officer

We are proud to introduce Cecile Barbachou, who joined Leaf in January 2024  as Regulatory Affairs Officer!

Cecile holds a Master’s Degree in Safety and Industrial Risk Management as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Before joining us, Cecile built her experience working as Process Engineer, QHSE Officer and Products Safety Engineer in France. 

In her role, Cecile participates in the Regulatory department’s efforts to provide the appropriate regulatory support to Leaf as a whole, especially in our product development and commercialization efforts.

Can you briefly tell us about your first day at Leaf?

Cecile: “I was really enthusiastric about joining Leaf. Being able to work in the field of new technologies and bringing bio-based molecules to market is challenging. The team gave me a warm welcome and there was a whole onboarding program waiting for me!”

  • If you were a feedstock what would you be?

Cecile: “I would be wheat, because I like bread and pasta”

  • What are your previous professional experiences?

Cecile: “I worked for around ten years in health, safety and environmental regulations. I worked on chemical risk analysis and the drafting of related regulatory dossiers, in occupational risk prevention and product safety. I have also given courses in occupational risk prevention and chemical risk prevention.”
